Celtic Woman in Prague for the first time!
Although the Irish band Celtic Woman is coming to Prague for the very first time as part of their European tour, their show has already sold out and a second concert on November 8th has been added.
“We are excited to see how the fans reacted to the Czech announcement of Celtic Woman’s very first concert in Prague. Tickets sold out four months before the concert. It is obvious that Celtic music has a very large fan base in our country. Therefore, we are very pleased that we have managed to arrange another concert with Celtic Woman’s management which will happen the very next day, on November 8, at the Prague Congress Center,” says Havelková from the organizing agency JVS group.
Celtic Woman is popular all over the world and their Destiny album was appreciated by critics and nominated for a Grammy Award. The three angelic voices of singers Mairéad Carlin, Éadha McMahon and Megan Walsh are complemented by passionate violinist Tara McNeill, as well as back up singers and dancers. Their signature Celtic melodies are performed together with an entire band of musicians playing various instruments including bagpipes, percussion, guitar, and piano as well as traditional Celtic whistles and a harp. This unique show full of beautiful music and dance is also accompanied by special effects such as fire and video projection to complete the medieval atmosphere that is inherent to this style of music.
